We are an organisation of community engineers, an organisation of people who design and implement projects with a positive impact on communities.
The role we have taken on is to change the reality around us for the better and to inspire and help other people and organisations to do the same with the reality around them.
For over 18 years we have been fulfilling this role, identifying problems in different communities and addressing them through one-off or long-term projects.
In the solutions we propose through our projects, education blends with urban regeneration, the social economy and technology.
We always try to find practical, applicable, inclusive and sustainable solutions that can generate a long-lasting positive impact.
In all our projects we get involved both at the strategy level – thinking through and designing the projects – and at the action level – project management and implementation.
We work well on our own, but most of all we like working together with other people, organisations and partners who share our mission and values and bring complementary skills to the projects.
This know-how gained over time, combined with the positive impact of the projects carried out,
as well as the unique position we are in, that of a “network node”, an organisation in permanent contact with civil society, universities, national and international NGOs, the state and the private sector, have brought Centrul Cultural Plai to the point of being recognised as a public utility NGO.
Beyond our own projects, over the years we have had numerous collaborations with public institutions, private companies and universities that have called on our expertise and experience to help them think through and implement their own projects.
For every project we carry out, our own or commissioned, we have a unique working process which has validated itself over time,
leading every time to measurable results with a positive impact.
1. we understand the reality.
2. we define the problem
3. we look for or identify people and organisations that can solve this problem, on their own or together with us.
4. if we do not find these people or organisations, we take on the role of solving it ourselves
Why do we consider this the best working system for us?
First of all, because we cannot solve every problem we identify around us.
And we do not think it would be good to do so, even if we could.
It is far more important to find and rally around us people and organisations who join this effort for change. This is how we create a portfolio.
We believe that only in this way, in the long run, by turning change for the better into a mass movement, can we truly have a positive impact.
