Paolo Profeti, Italian saxophonist and composer, who has become, in the past few years, an integral part of the Romanian jazz scene, is presenting „Paolo Profeti European Collective – ELETTRICO”. His new project brings together two Italian musicians – the saxophonist leader and the drummer Alessandro Rossi, one of the most appreciated representative of the new generation in European jazz – and the outstanding Romanian jazz men: Sorin Romanescu on guitar, Florian Radu on trombone and Michael Acker on bass.
In 2015, Paulo Profeti launched the record label Fiver House Records, with great success in both critics and the public, the album “Waiting for Bucharest” – presented by his quintet at the prestigious Nardis Jazz Club, in Istanbul -, and he participated at Transilvania Jazz Festival 2015, as well as the preview for the eight edition of the Green Hours Jazz Fest.
Paolo Profeti graduated the Guiseppe Verdi Conservatory with honours and the Accademia Internazionale della Musica in Milan, and he studied the saxophone with masters like Jesse Davis, Rosario Giuliani, Billy Harper and Mauro Negri.
