A music festival creates a symbol for the city that organises it, becomes part of its identity and strengthens it. JAZZx comes precisely to celebrate Timisoara’s multiculturalism and vibrant energy, rehabilitating the value of accessible cultural actions, focusing on quality and the importance of culture in a healthy community.

“I am confident that JAZZx will shine in the landscape of the European Capital of Culture. Timis County Council has undertaken to fund this festival as a natural but also symbolic gesture of respect towards the Timisoara people, defining culture as a common benefit that must be accessible to the general public. JAZZx grows with each edition, and in 2023 it will offer five days of artistic excellence with a cast worthy of similar festivals in Europe” [Alin Nica, President of Timis County Council]

JAZZx is part of the National Programme “Timisoara – European Capital of Culture” and is funded by the Timis County Council. Organised by the National Museum of Banat, produced and developed by PLAI Cultural Centre.

JAZZx is an event open to the public.
